Blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery, is a procedure designed to address the visible signs of aging around the eyes: excess upper eyelid skin, under-eye bags and puffiness that can make you look tired.
The goal is a refreshed, rested look that keeps your natural expression. The surgical plan is tailored to each patient’s anatomy, skin quality and aesthetic goals.

Every eyelid surgery at New Me is planned and performed by Dr. Wilton Triggs. Here is what to expect:
1. Consultation & Evaluation
Dr. Triggs evaluates your eyelids, your health and your goals to decide whether to treat the upper lids, the lower lids or both.
2. Pre-Operative Marking
Before surgery, Dr. Triggs carefully marks the natural creases of your eyelids. This guides precise incisions and discreet scars, as you can see in the video.
3. Surgery
The procedure is performed under general anesthesia in a controlled surgical environment. Excess skin is removed and fat is repositioned or removed as needed.
4. Recovery
Swelling and bruising are normal and improve over the following weeks. Most patients return to work after about 7 days.

Each plan is based on your anatomy and goals.
Candidates are generally in good overall health, without uncontrolled medical conditions.
Ideal candidates are non-smokers, as nicotine can impair healing.
Candidates should not have untreated eye conditions; some patients may need an eye exam before surgery.
Candidates should have realistic expectations and follow post-operative care instructions.
Pre- and post-operative care are essential components of eyelid surgery. Proper preparation before the procedure and attentive follow-up afterward support healing and help achieve the best possible result.
Patients receive medical instructions focused on safety and preparation before the procedure.
Post-surgical guidance supports healing, recovery monitoring and follow-up.
Recovery varies by patient and by the extent of the procedure. Swelling and bruising around the eyes are common and usually improve over the following weeks. Most patients return to work after about 7 days.
Incisions are placed in the natural crease of the upper eyelid or just below the lash line, so they usually become discreet as they heal.
